There are many people and organisations that are here to help if you are struggling.
Please find below a list of places that you can reach out to if you feel that you need to speak to someone. Please don’t feel that you have to be in a crisis to reach out; all of the helplines are available even if you just need to get something off your chest.

- Have a chat with a trained mental health first aider (MHFA). Your workplace may have a mental health first aider. However, you can also access support from trained mental health first aiders who are also current trainee patent attorneys – for more information click here

If you identify as part of the LGBT+ community, then you can also access help from Switchboard by calling 0300 330 0630 between 10am and 10pm every day or emailing chris@switchboard.lgbt.
If you are experiencing thoughts of suicide, or are concerned about anyone who may be having thoughts of suicide you can also use the following helplines:
- Papyrus: If you are under 35 call 0800 068 41 41, or email pat@papyrus-uk.org between 9am and midnight every day.
- National Suicide Prevention Helpline UK: call 0800 689 5652. Available 24/7.
