CIPA Informals aim to support all trainees in their path towards qualification. We have been thinking about how the Informals can better support in-house trainees, who may not have the range of training opportunities, information, and support available at private practice firms.
After an initial brainstorming session with in-house trainees to gather ideas and feedback, we concluded that the Informals committee should have an in-house representative to make sure that we are supporting in-house trainees as best we can. In 2021 we created the position of In-House Rep on the Informals committee.
