Information for Tutors

The Informals Committee runs a tutorial scheme for trainees who are sitting the EQE and UK final exams. If you are looking for information about giving tutorials, then thank you for stopping by! There’s no requirement to be an experienced tutor or even to be fully qualified, so long as you have passed the exam that you want to offer a tutorial for.

UK tutorials usually run in the summer of each year in preparation for exams in October, and EQE tutorials run in the winter of each year in preparation for exams in March.

How the scheme works

As with previous years, we try to keep this scheme as simple as possible:

  1. You set a past exam paper that your tutees will attempt (one from FD1, FD2, FD3, FD4, or EQE pre-exam, paper A, B, C, or D);
  2. We coordinate sign-ups for your tutorial (we will confirm with you how many people you want to tutor for, when your tutorial will take place, and whether you plan to run the tutorial by video conference or in person);
  3. You then review any answer scripts from your tutees and hold a group session to discuss the past paper together. This is normally a 1-2 hour discussion to review the paper and share feedback.

If you would like to offer a a tutorial for the upcoming 2023 UK Final exams, please fill in this form. If you would like more information, please contact Rhodri Jones.

Thank you for your support – we really appreciate it.
