Any trainees are welcome to attend, but EQE candidates may find the axe throwing activity particularly cathartic. Trademark trainees are also welcome to attend, but are not entitled to a refund, sorry!
Please note that the consumption of any alcohol prior to axe throwing is strongly discouraged, as per the Whistlepunks FAQ
Following the activity we will go to one of the excellent bars in the area for a debrief, including a free drink.
Please book on your own initiative (£20) at the Whistlepunks website, (For group put CIPA Informals or similar). Please indicate attendance either via the Facebook group or by email to Adam Hope. A £2 Rebate will be provided on presentation of your Whistlepunks receipt, which is required for Informals Accounting purposes.
It is once again that time of the year! The Informals Committee and the UKIPO are once again preparing for the Informals trip to the Patent Office in Newport. However, this year the team has decided to let Trainees decide which topics they would like to hear about during the visit!
Below you will find a list of topics. Using the voting options, the team would be grateful if Trainees could please vote for which topic they would like to hear about during the 2018 Trip.
The CIPA Informals Foundation Lecture series will begin on Monday 8th January 2018 and provide an introduction to many of the topics covered by the Foundation Exams.
The lectures will take place in CIPA Hall at 20-23 Holborn and will begin at 5.30 PM.
They will also be streamed live via webinar (details on how to access these to follow).
After the lectures we will all be heading to a nearby pub which will provide a good opportunity to meet other trainees and chat to the lecturers!
The timetable for the lectures up until the end of March is as follows (April-June lectures will be announced nearer the time). Any changes to the timetable will be posted on the Yellowsheet blog so keep an eye out!
We look forward to seeing you there,
Rebecca, Chris & Jian Siang Foundation Lecture Organisers
