Hi all,
As part of the Informals, you are all cordially invited to compete for first place in 3 x 15 min rounds of racing at Scotland’s longest multi-level go karting track in Cambuslang (picture below), just east of Glasgow. Hopefully the time and place suits most people. Spots are limited to 14 so sign up quick via the link below! There’s no time limit for signing up, I’ll let everyone know once the event is sold out. If you can’t make it, there will be more events throughout the year.

Arrival time at venue: 20:20
Finish time: 22:20 (exp.)
Cost: Free & train tickets reimbursed (incl. free taxi to and from Cambuslang train station)
That’s right – almost an hour of Friday night go karting absolutely for free, it doesn’t get much better!
In terms of transport, you’re welcome to make your own way to and from the venue, however since the location is quite remote, I’ve arranged the logistics below for those arriving by train (incl. car transport back to Edinburgh since trains are quite slow at that time of night) to hopefully allow as many of you to make it as possible. Please read carefully.
Directions to and from Edinburgh Waverley by train.
Take the 18:58-20:06 train from Waverley (Haymarket at 19:04) to Cambuslang. Meet us in front of Cambuslang station on Main St at 20:10 (look for the Santa hat) and we’ll all taxi over to the venue (3 min). After the event, I can drive max. 4 people back to Edinburgh, indicate on the sign up sheet below if you need a ride home. If anyone else will drive from Edinburgh and wouldn’t mind ferrying others back, please also indicate this when signing up. (Alternatively, you can join those taxiing back to Cambuslang station and grab the train to Waverley at 22:34, 22:39 or 23:18 – these arrive past midnight)
Directions to and from Glasgow Central by train.
Take the 19:48-20:04 train from Glasgow Central to Cambuslang. Meet us in front of Cambuslang station on Main St at 20:10 (look for the Santa hat) and we’ll all taxi over to the venue (3 min). After the event, we’ll taxi back to Cambuslang station and for trains back to Glasgow Central leaving at 22:27, 23:34, 23:11 … last train 00:13.
Directions to and from Aberdeen.
This would be difficult to attend from Aberdeen, however you are of course welcome to!
