Advanced Lecture – Overview of FD4 – Cancelled

Unfortunately tonight’s lecture, an “Overview of FD4”, has had to be cancelled.  It will be rearranged for a later date.

FD4 Lecture – this Wednesday

This year we are delighted to announce that we will be hosting a special introductory lecture on the FD4 paper as part of the UK Finals lecture series:

Venue: CIPA Hall, 95 Chancery Lane

Date: 29 June 2016

Time: 5:30 – 6:30  PM

This will be given by Philip Barnes (Mathys & Squire), who is a current examiner for the paper.

We expect this to be an extremely useful event given the first hand experience that Philip has of marking papers (both good and bad!), and hope that many of you will be able to attend in person.

For those who are unfortunately not able to make it on the day, this will be hosted via a live webinar, as well as being available on the CIPA informals website for future reference via a recording.

A warning about Fox’s P6 notes

Those of you sitting the P6 exam in a few weeks may have been reviewing Nicholas Fox’s notes on the 1999 paper (which were made available when his Informals lecture was cancelled).  However, it has been brought to my attention that Fox’s notes may not have been updated since they were first written to reflect the content / marking schemes of more recent P6 papers.

P3 Lecture Added

We’re pleased to announce that a P3 webinar will be taking place on 22 September as part of the Informals Advanced Lecture series. Even if your revision is well underway, or your Firm provides in-house tutorials, it could be useful to listen to the lectures and get a new perspective on how to answer the papers.  We recommend attempting the paper before the webinar, to get the most out of the session.  The remaining lectures in the series are:

P3 2013

The lectures will be broadcast via WebEx, and, as ever, recordings and notes will be placed on the CIPA website shortly thereafter.
