We are pondering the question of whether the Foundation Lectures should continue to be online only, or whether we should move to a hybrid format with the lectures held in person at CIPA headquarters in London and simultaneously available online via Zoom. A hybrid format would start from the lecture on February 14th.

The Yellow Sheet 
I think that at least occasional in-person attendance is really important for trainees to (a) get to meet some of the big hitters in the profession; and (b) mix with other trainees. I think that it’s particularly important given that exams are now online, so trainees don’t even have the chance of mixing with other trainees at exams any more. Personally I think that the institute and qualified members need to put effort into ensuring that the interconnected profession ‘feel’ remains, as I think it has big advantages both for members and clients in terms of knowledge sharing and learning.
